The Story Overview

Dark Mysteries, the original campaign, took place as a pen-and-paper role-playing game campaign that spanned almost four years of real-world time, from the summer of 2000 to the spring of 2004. The adventure follows six to seven heroic personae (a seventh joined fairly early, and one dropped out late in the game) as they unravel a plot to unleash the Dark One, a powerful mage who had been magickally imprisoned over two thousand years ago. During their adventures, they witness the collapse of the ancient dwarven kingdom Clemendeev, ally with a dissident orc tribe, discover the secret history of several of the personae, and lead an army against the Dark One's Prison before he can escape it. The writeups that chronicled the Dark Mysteries story covered over a half a million words divided into four "books".

City under the Stars took place as a PnP game over a year from spring of 2005 to spring of 2006. It was an extended epilogue to Dark Mysteries that was originally categorized as the first and only book of the Eldritch Mysteries story arc. This story reunites most of the original Heroic Personae and follows them as they discover a plot to free a god-thing from its submerged city in the center of the Vasmar. This adventure served to tie off some loose ends of the original campaign, as well as introduce the major plot feature of the next major PnP game - The Codex.

The Corsairs of the Brythomar is an experiment in running a game via play-by-email that kicked off in 2006. Regrettably, it stalled pretty badly when I had some other things come up, and, as of spring 2010, it is barely creaking along.

The Side Stories are a number of short stories each written by two or more players chronicling events that took place outside of the main story arc.

The Interludes are shorter official adventures that take place after City under the Stars and before the beginning of the Next Generation campaign. The first of the Interludes, The Laughing Pool was run as an email exchange between the Journey Master and Lady Breanna Ithell's player.
