The Story Future Adventures

Beyond the adventures listed under The Story, there are a number of other adventures that are waiting to be played:

 


 

The Sky Lands:

The Sky Lands of Lantea are magickal islands that float in the sky.  These islands are just over two thousand years old, but they remain undiscovered by humans, since the islands that drift free tend to stay in the southern, unpopulated hemisphere of Oerth.  As was bound to happen eventually, a Sky Land has crossed the equator, and it has managed to catch currents that will take it close to Ithell's Town.  A group of adventurers from Ithell's Town will become the first humans to set foot on a Sky Land, and, in doing so, discover signs of a lost civilization.

This adventure by itself most likely will be one of the Interludes.  It could involve some of the original Dark Mysteries personae, or it could involve some Next Gen personae, or it could be handled by a completely different group.  It also has a the opportunity to lead into an adventure to Lantea, to make contact with the Lantean civilization.

 


 

The Armagh Mystery:

Armagh is an idyllic town a couple of days south of Londoun in the Kingdom of the Five Crowns.  During the war that raged prior to the Fall of Camelough, Armagh was spared the wrath of the Dark One's orcish armies, even though nearby Londoun was razed.  Armagh has always had bountiful crops - enough to export substantially to the major metropolitan area of Londoun.  There has never been a crop failure in Armagh's recorded history.  Livestock thrive on the lush pastures around the town.  There hasn't been a major crime in years.  Why is that?

This will be an Interlude adventure.  Very likely, it will involve the Next Gen personae a couple of years before the Next Gen campaign kicks off.

 


 

The Next Generation:

In City under the Stars, the original heroes of the Dark Mystery Campaign discovered an ancient book of unspeakable magicks, The Codex.  This was the book that was used to imprison the Dark One, and its magicks were partially responsible for the Curse of the Dark One.  The Codex is an entity unto itself, and after the Thirteen Mages tore it apart, it wanted nothing more than to be made whole again.  In its own way, it has been nudging peoples fates, setting up conditions that will allow its lost parts to be found, and for it to be reunited once again.

The Next Generation campaign will center on the sons and daughters of the original Dark Mysteries Campaign's heroic personae as they seek out the missing parts of the Codex and resolve the remaining threats to Oerth's future.  Along the way, they will discover a lost nation, travel to Phaeree to rescue someone of great importance, participate in the Final Battle of as-Tikat, and possibly evict the monstrosity that lives in a City under the Stars.

The world of Oerth will be forever changed by the adventures that take place, and The New Era will become a time of legends.
